Mayahi demands Basra Local Government to exert more efforts to ensure hosting Gulf Cup

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of the White Bloc demanded the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Local Government in Basra province to exert more efforts during the next two months

to ensure hosting the Football Championship of 22nd Gulf Cup.The heads of the Gulf Football Unions held a lengthy meeting, that lasted for four hours, and decided, by majority, to grant the Iraqi city Basra timeout till 5th of next October to complete the preparations for hosting the 22nd Gulf Cup Championship.

Mayahi stated that “The Local Government of Basra province should exert distinctive efforts to take advantage of this opportunity which is considered the first test for Basra Local Government to serve Basra and Iraqi people”.
