Introduction: Suhair al-Qaisi was born in 1985 in Baghdad, Iraq in Karkh neighborhood. She joined the Faculty of Dentistry for a period, but later left medicine to become a media figure. She began her first stage in the media working in the FM Radio English in Baghdad. After the U.S. invasion of Baghdad, she moved to the United Arab Emirates, resides in Dubai, worked at rMBC Panorama radio. Later on, she was offered a contract with Arabiya News Channel, where she is still working. Suhair was given the title of Ambassador of Good Will by the Iraqi Red Crescent.

"After failing to become a citizen for the second time, he was compelled to create an elusive room that is smaller than the interval between him and the self, yet a greater distance from him and me. A room that does not belong to the policy of repressive culture of the totalitarian state where he was born and grew up, or to the culture of consumption where he has migrated. A room for a performance that some people might call ‘art’ is rather an act of necessity opposing a destiny with which he is not willing to identify or to surrender.”
